Mitchell Overlook is in The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic
Area on Mitchell Spur which is below Mitchell Point and where
the historic Mitchell Point Tunnel was carved in the rock
in 1915. There were 5
windows viewing the river. The tunnel was destroyed in
1966 to make the freeway safe!
