This "Photo to Painting" Gallery is all about
a trip to Glacier National Park from Oregon through Washington State, Idaho and
Montana.
On the
way we cross the Columbia River and Wanapum Lake on the Vantage Bridge which
is next to Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park which is famous for the rare
specimens of petrified Ginkgo tree discovered there in 1932. With
a fun stop at Kootenai Falls even if we didn't get a good picture of the
swinging bridge.
Glacier National Park is
over 1,000,000 acres so a few pictures will only show a small part of it. We
went to find the Swiftcurrent Falls and it was great that the autumn leaves
were very nice. The rain was so bad that we skipped the Going to the Sun road,
but we found interesting photos from the Looking Glass Hill Road and Many
Glacier Road.
On the way back we saw more of Montana and found the JOHN GRADE sculpture of a Lava Tube
in the Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho.
